Letter to Jon Heyman

Letter to Jon Heyman:     In reference to the tweet below from @JonHeyman:          " Philly is great, and they are playing great, but due to a schedule quirk they’ve                played only 3 games against teams that have a winning record now — their first 3           games of the year!" -"X"           Fifty games into the MLB season, the Philadelphia Phillies are off to their best start in franchise history with a record of 36-14. This week, the Phillies have been dismantling the defending World Series Champions in South Philadelphia. Yet, the narrative in the media is still focused on the Phillies' 1-2 record against teams above .500, coming from their first series against the Atlanta Braves. On Tuesday, Ranger Suarez continued his dominant surge, remaining undefeated. The Phillies won 2-5, with offensive cont...

Red Hot Phillies & The Legend of Kody Clemens

Red Hot Phillies: The Legend of Kody Clemens:       Kody Clemens has been making waves for the Phillies recently. With Trea Turner sidelined, Clemens has seen increased playing time and capitalized on the opportunity. Despite only 11 games played this season, he's batting a scorching .321 with an eye-popping .821 slugging percentage. On Saturday evening, with the game tied in the ninth inning and two outs, he blasted a go-ahead home run to right-center field against the Nationals, forcing extras. Bryce Harper later won it with a sacrifice fly in the 10th. Clemens' recent tear has some Phillies fans wondering if he could unseat Nick Castellanos in right field, but only time will tell as Trea Turner nears a return. 20 Games Over .500:       The Phillies are a remark...

Eagles Schedule Release:  Reaction & Predictions     For the 2024 season, the Philadelphia Eagles open up their season with a *Home* game in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers. This will be a Friday Night primetime game to kick off what should be an incredible opening weekend of NFL football. In this brief blog, I'm going to touch on the things that I love and hate about the Eagles schedule and a quick prediction. Things to Love:     First, love it or hate it, primetime games are AWESOME . The Eagles only have *6* 1pm games on this years schedule, with only two of these being home games. This will leave plenty of time for the football junkies to take in the joys of NFL Redzone. Having lots of late nights struggling to sleep after stressful Eagles games is a lovely thought in the month of May.      Second, the absolute best part of this seasons schedule is the last five games of the season. In order, these games go: Panthers (H), Steel...
